How do I take Prolensa?

Prolensa is administered in solution form and applied by dropper to the affected eye. While the actual dosing schedule will vary from patient to patient, it is typically done once a day, beginning the day before and the day of the medical procedure, and then for fourteen days following the surgery. Some patients have reported side effects from using Prolensa. Less severe side effects include itching, burning, or stinging of the eyes; feeling like there is something in the eye; and headaches. If any of these symptoms persist or worsen, contact your doctor immediately.

Severe side effects that require immediate medical attention include sensitivity to light, obscured, blurry, or cloudy vision; eye pain; bleeding in the eye; or signs of an allergic reaction (rash, hives, swelling of the eyes or face).

Keep Prolensa tightly sealed in its original container and out of the reach of children. Keep the medication safe from the extremes of temperature and humidity, and do not allow the solution to freeze.
