How do I take Plavix?

• You have a history of stroke, including TIA.

• You are taking any other prescribed or over-the-counter medications, drugs, vitamins or supplements, including if you are already regularly taking aspirin or other NSAIDs, blood thinners, or antidepressants.

• You are pregnant or breastfeeding or plan to become pregnant or to breastfeed.

These include: hives, jaundice, pale skin, heavy bruising or purple or red pinpoints under the skin, bleeding that will not stop, swelling in your face and lips, swelling in your tongue or throat, difficulty breathing, severe headache, problems with coordination or balance, difficulty speaking, vision problems, fever with weakness or sweating, chest pain or pressure which may spread to your shoulder or jaw, sudden weakness or numbness, unusual bleeding from orifices (e.g., mouth, nose, rectum, vagina), coughing up blood, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, tar-colored or bloody stool.

How do I store Plavix?

Store Plavix medication in a dry place at room temperature away from excess heat.

Plavix is an anticoagulant medication, which means that you may bruise or bleed more easily, even from minor injuries.
