Save on Enstilar at your pharmacy with the free discount below.

Enstilar is a topical medication that treats plaque psoriasis, a condition that causes the buildup of dead skin cells and makes the affected skin appear scaly. Unfortunately, this treatment doesn’t always come cheap; without insurance or other discounts, the Enstilar price is often around $1000 for a 60g can of foam. If you are unable to access an Enstilar copay card or get your insurance to cover the cost, you can still save by claiming a free coupon from FamilyWize. Our reusable coupon can lower the Enstilar cost by up to 75% at any major US pharmacy chain (and participating independent drug stores). About Enstilar

What is Enstilar?

Enstilar contains betamethasone (a corticosteroid) and calicopotriene (a form of vitamin D). Clinical trials have proven it effective at treating plaque psoriasis, but it is not known exactly how it works. Enstilar comes as a foam that can be sprayed directly on the affected skin areas.

How do I use Enstilar?

Apply Enstilar to the affected skin once daily for up to four weeks, unless your doctor has given you different instructions. Shake the foam container before each use and spray a small amount on areas with psoriasis. Rub the foam in gently. Don’t cover or bandage your skin unless your doctor has given you permission to do so. Stop using the foam when your psoriasis clears up, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

What if I forget to use a dose of Enstilar?

Apply the missed dose once you remember, unless it’s almost time for your next application. In this case, skip the missed dose. Do not increase the amount of foam you usually apply in an effort to catch up.

What happens if I overdose on Enstilar?

If you believe that you have overdosed or absorbed too much of the Enstilar medicine into your body, call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 to find out what to do.

Before using Enstilar, tell your doctor if:

  • You are allergic to betamethasone or calcipotriene

  • You are using any prescription or over-the-counter drugs or skin products

  • You have high blood calcium levels

  • You have kidney or liver disease

  • Your affected skin is very red, peeling, or has pus coming out of it

  • You have a history of kidney stones

  • You are undergoing phototherapy

  • You are breastfeeding, pregnant, or trying to become pregnant

What are the possible side effects of using Enstilar?

Enstilar may cause mild skin irritation or discoloration at the application site. This will usually clear up as your body adjusts to the medicine. Tell your doctor if you experience weight gain, unusual mood changes, irregular menstrual cycles, increased body hair, or slow wound healing, as these may be signs that the steroid in Enstilar has been absorbed through your skin. Stop using Enstilar and tell your doctor if you have any of the following serious side effects: signs of a skin infection, severe skin burning or irritation, crusting around hair follicles, increase urination or thirst, muscle weakness, fatigue, severe lightheadedness, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, or weight loss.

How do I store Enstilar?

Store Enstilar at room temperature, out of reach of children. The foam is flammable, so do not use or store the can anywhere near high heat or an open flame. If you no longer need this medicine but have leftover foam, ask your pharmacist how to safely dispose of it.

Warnings

Don’t use more than 60g (one can) of Enstilar in four days or fewer; using large amounts will not cause your plaque psoriasis to go away faster and may actually cause side effects. Keep Enstilar away from your nose, eyes, mouth, vagina, rectum, and any infected or broken skin. If you are a smoker, avoid smoking until the foam has completely dried. Avoid tanning beds and excessive exposure to sunlight, since this medication can make you sunburn more easily. If you’re applying Enstilar to your scalp, don’t have your hair dyed within 12 hours of an application.

Brand Names

Enstilar is a brand name drug, and there is no generic equivalent. Taclonex is another brand name drug that contains the same active ingredients as Enstilar; however, it is only available as an ointment. Remember: if your doctor has prescribed Enstilar, a coupon from our site can help you save up to 75% at your pharmacy.
