Women who experience abnormal menstruation or who are not pregnant and haven’t menstruated in the last six months may benefit from Provera pills. The Provera medicine is in the progestin class of drugs, and it works by preventing the uterine lining from growing and causing the uterus to produce certain hormones. The cost of Provera typically ranges from about $10-$20 for thirty 10mg pills, unless the medication is covered by a patient’s insurance or the patient has Provera prescription assistance.
