How do I use Maxalt-MLT?

The recommended starting dose of Maxalt-MLT tablets for the acute treatment of migraines in adults is usually 5 mg or 10 mg, and a second dose may be taken two hours after the first dose if symptoms return. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 30 mg in any 24-hour period. Consult with your doctor for specific dosage and use information for Maxalt for the treatment of your condition.

What if I forget to use a dose of Maxalt-MLT?

How do I store Maxalt-MLT?

Store this medication tightly closed when not in use. Store it at room temperature and keep away from excess moisture and heat. Keep this medication out of reach of children and away from pets. Properly dispose of any expired or unnecessary medication.

Warnings

• Do not take rizatriptan if you are taking a monoamine oxidase A (MAO-A) inhibitor.

• Do not let anyone else use your medication.
