How do I use Maxalt?

The recommended starting dose of Maxalt tablets for the acute treatment of migraines in adults is usually 5 mg or 10 mg, and a second dose may be taken two hours after the first dose if symptoms return. What if I forgot to use a dose of Maxalt?

Store this medication tightly closed when not in use. Store it at room temperature and keep away from excess moisture and heat. Keep this medication out of reach of children and away from pets. Properly dispose of any expired or unnecessary medication.

• Do not take rizatriptan if you are taking a monoamine oxidase A (MAO-A) inhibitor.
