About Intelence

What is Intelence?

Intelence is an antiretroviral drug within the NNRTI class (non-nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitors). These medications work by stopping reverse transcriptase, an enzyme that is necessary for the virus to replicate itself inside healthy immune cells.

How do I take Intelence?

Intelence comes in the form of a tablet, and it is normally taken twice daily after eating meals. Your doctor may prescribe 100mg or 200mg tablets based on your weight. Always follow your doctor’s dosing instructions, and follow your medication schedules as accurately as possible for best results.

What if I forget to take a dose of Intelence?

If you forget to take a dose of Intelence, and it has been less than six hours since your missed dose, take the missed dose after eating a meal. If more than six hours have passed since you missed a dose, skip the missed dose and continue on your normal regimen. Don’t take a double dose to try to compensate for a missed one.

What happens if I overdose on Intelence?

If you or someone else has overdosed on Intelence pills, call the Poison Control Center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim is unresponsive or not breathing, call 911.

Before taking Intelence, tell your doctor if:

  • You have or have ever had liver disease or hepatitis.

  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • You allergic to any of the ingredients in Intelence pills.

  • You are taking any other prescription or nonprescription medications or herbal supplements, including St. John’s wort, blood thinners, heart medications, steroids, Viagra or other ED drugs, antivirals, sedatives, cholesterol drugs, and anti-seizure drugs.

What are the possible side effects of taking Intelence?

Possible side effects from taking Intelence include nausea and a redistribution of body fat. Serious side effects that you should tell your doctor about right away include signs of an infection or worsening infection, persistent muscle aches or weakness, joint pain, vision changes, severe fatigue, trouble breathing, nervousness, pounding heartbeat, bulging eyes, goiter, difficulty swallowing, drooping face, slurred speech, seizures, increased thirst and urination, jaundice, abdominal pain and persistent vomiting.

How do I store Intelence?

Store Intelence tightly closed in its container to protect it from moisture. Keep this medication at a temperature between 59 and 86 degrees Fahrenheit and keep it out of reach of children and pets. Don’t remove the desiccant pouches from the bottle, as they help absorb moisture.

Warnings

Intelence can increase the quantity of body fat and also cause it to redistribute. You may notice loss of fat from your arms and legs and more fat in your stomach and upper body.

Brand Names

Intelence is a brand-name drug, and there are currently no generic alternatives on the market. Some similar drugs include Sustiva and Viramune. To save on the high cost of these medications, use our discounts to save 20-75% at the pharmacy.
