About Eletone

What is Eletone?

Eletone is an emollient prescribed to repair and protect dry skin resulting from a number of conditions and skin irritations, including burns from radiation therapy, atopic dermatitis, diaper rash, and other causes. It works by moisturizing the skin to decrease itching, flaking, and minor skin irritation.

How do I use Eletone?

Eletone is a topical emollient applied to an affected area of the skin. Before using, gently clean and dry the target area, then apply the recommended amount, gently massaging it into the skin. Wash hands after use. This medication does not contain a sunblock; apply a sunscreen if going outside after using Eletone.

What if I forget to apply a dose of Eletone?

If you forget your scheduled application of Eletone, use it as soon as you remember and are able. If a flare up has occurred, do not use Eletone while using a corticosteroid unless you have your doctor’s permission.

What happens if I overdose on Eletone?

Eletone is for topical use only. If it is accidentally ingested, contact your local Poison Control Center at 1-800-222-1222. If the individual who ingested this drug has stopped breathing or lost consciousness, contact Emergency Services at 911.

Before using Eletone, tell your doctor if:

  • You are allergic to any medications or any of the ingredients in Eletone

  • You are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or are nursing a child

  • You are taking any medications, vitamins, or supplements

  • You use any other skin care products

  • You have any allergies

What are the possible side effects of using Eletone?

Sometimes severe side effects may result after applying Eletone. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience any unusual skin changes at the application site or if you experience a serious allergic reaction.

How do I store Eletone?

Keep Eletone tightly sealed in its tube, out of the reach of children and away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not allow it to freeze. Dispose of any expired or unused amount according to the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist.

Warnings

Eletone is for external use only. Contact your doctor if you become pregnant while using this medication. Eletone does not contain a sunblock, so you will still need to apply sunscreen when you go outside.
