What is Cleocin T?

Cleocin T is an antibiotic that comes in the form of a topical gel, lotion, or topical solution. It kills acne-causing bacteria in order to reduce the appearance of pimples and raised red patches of skin. The FDA has approved this medication to treat severe acne in adults and children 12 and older.

How do I use Cleocin T?

Wash and dry your hands and face before each Cleocin T application. Spread a thin layer of gel, lotion, or solution over the affected skin and wash your hands when you’re done. Use this medication only as often as your doctor has instructed you to (usually twice a day). It may take up to six weeks before you start noticing an improvement in the appearance of your skin.

What if I forget to use a dose of Cleocin T?

If you miss an application, use your topical medication as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next scheduled application, skip the missed dose and stick to your regular schedule. Do not apply more of the Cleocin T gel or lotion than you normally would.

What happens if I overdose on Cleocin T?

How do I store Cleocin T?
