How do I take Bactrim?

Depending on your illness, age, and weight, your doctor may prescribe standard Bactrim medication or Bactrim DS (double strength). You will never take more than 1 pill of the double strength medication, but your doctor may prescribe as much as 2 pills of standard Bactrim. Doses are to be taken every 12 hours, daily.
