What is Anaspaz?

Anaspaz is a brand drug and an anticholinergic agent that is used to treat certain bladder, stomach, and intestinal conditions, such as spasms. This drug is also used to treat excessive sweating or saliva production. It is also prescribed to relieve symptoms of colic, runny nose, and Parkinson-like problems in patients.

Anaspaz works by decreasing the body’s production of stomach acid. It also relaxes the muscles in the intestines, stomach, and bladder.

How do I use Anaspaz?

Anaspaz tablets are taken orally and this drug is typically prescribed to be taken up to 1 hour minutes before eating a meal. Follow your doctor’s directions for using this medication.

If you use antacids, take Anaspaz before meals and take the antacids after meals, unless your doctor instructs you to do otherwise.

What if I forget to use a dose of Anaspaz?
