How do I use Santyl?

Santyl is usually applied to the wound site once a day, although your doctor may put you on a different application schedule. Before applying, wash your hands, remove any dressing, and clean the wound site as your doctor has directed. Use a gauze pad or wooden applicator to spread the Santyl ointment over the wound site, at approximately the thickness of a nickel. After applying, wrap the area in a bandage.
