How do I take Amicar?

Amicar is prescribed as either a tablet or liquid, and is taken orally without regard to food; the tablet may be taken with water. When prescribed to control bleeding, it is typically taken once an hour for eight hours or until the bleeding is under control. If prescribed for ongoing bleeding, it is usually taken every three to six hours.
