About Alprazolam Er

Alprazolam ER tablets work on the chemicals in the brain to lessen anxiety.

Alprazolam ER tablets are typically taken once per day. Do not crush or chew the tablet(s) before swallowing; be sure to swallow the tablet(s) whole.

Take Alprazolam ER exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

Do not stop taking this medication without first consulting with your doctor as stopping this medication suddenly may result in increased side effects.

Do not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice while taking Alprazolam ER.

Take your missed dose of Alprazolam ER as soon as your remember to take it. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue to take the medication as prescribed. Do not take a double dose of Alprazolam ER.

In case of overdose, seek immediate medical attention.

Before using Alprazolam ER, tell your doctor if:

  • you are allergic to Alprazolam ER or any other benzodiazepine
