How do I use Allopurinol?

Allopurinol tablets are usually prescribed to be taken once or twice a day as prescribed by your doctor. The recommended maintenance dose for the treatment of mild gout in adults is 200 mg to 300 mg once per day, with a maximum dose of 800 mg per day.
