How do I take Advair Diskus?

Advair Diskus comes as a round, flat inhaler that contains measured doses of the medication in the form of a fine white powder. After removing Advair Diskus from its packaging, write the “opened” and “used by” dates in the spaces provided on the inhaler. Use the medicine in the Diskus within a month’s time, or dispose of it. Remove the Diskus and hold your breath for as long as you comfortably can. Then breathe out slowly. After using the Diskus, rinse your mouth with water and spit it out. Do not swallow the water, as it may contain some of the mediation. Do not try to use a spacer with the Advair Diskus.

What if I forget to take a dose of Advair Diskus?

If you forget to take a dose of Advair, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue on your regular schedule. Do not consume a double dose of Advair to make up for a missed one.
