Mental Health Association of Central Florida Named $10,000 Winner of FamilyWize’s "Healthy You, Happy Orlando" Campaign

FamilyWize donates to local Orlando-area charity at the conclusion of their two-month campaign

BETHLEHEM, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FamilyWize announced today the winner of its "Healthy You, Happy Orlando" campaign. The campaign was dedicated to improving the lives of Orlando-area residents through more affordable prescription medications using the Free FamilyWize Prescription Discount Card. The widely known prescription savings program is now proud to donate $10,000 to Mental Health Association of Central Florida. The Mental Health Association of Central Florida has served the Central Florida community since 1946 offering services, support, and information while striving to show that “It’s Okay to Get Help!”

FamilyWize and MHA of Central Florida will celebrate with an official check presentation on Tuesday, June 27that MHA’s headquarters at 1525 East Robinson Street in Orlando.

The "Healthy You, Happy Orlando" campaign gave Orlando-area residents the opportunity to select between four local charities including United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties, United Way of Lake & Sumter Counties, Heart of Florida United Way, and Mental Health Association of Central Florida to receive a $10,000 donation. Those who voted for the winning charity were also entered into a drawing to win $1,000 for themselves.

“We are so grateful for FamilyWize’s prescription discount program making treatment a possibility for our Central Florida Community. This donation will go directly to helping individuals find the services they need,” said Charlotte Melton, Vice President at Mental Health Association of Central Florida.
