As we send this year’s bunch of bright-eyed kindergarteners to their first day of school, one can’t help but wonder what will come of the next 12 years for these children. There’s no doubt that among these are future physicians, attorneys, businesswomen and the like, but what about the kids who struggle to read by third grade?
